The find_with_related()
functions in sea_orm are used to fetch related records along with the main record. By default, when we fetch a record using find_one()
or find()
function, only the attributes of that record are loaded. But sometimes, we also need to fetch related records that are associated with the main record.
For example, let's say we have two tables: users
and posts
where the posts
table has a foreign key to the users
table. If we want to fetch all the posts along with their associated user record, we can use the find_with_related()
function. This function will automatically load the related user record when we fetch the posts.
There are several find_with_related()
functions in sea_orm, each designed for specific use cases like fetching records with many-to-many relationships, fetching records with one-to-many relationships, etc. By using these functions, we can reduce the number of queries required to fetch related records and improve the performance of our application.
