You can import json files into pandas by using the pandas.read_json()
method. This method reads a JSON string, URL or file and returns a pandas DataFrame.
Here is an example of importing a JSON file named "data.json" and saving it as a pandas DataFrame df
:
import pandas as pd # Load JSON file into pandas DataFrame df = pd.read_json('data.json') # Use DataFrame for analysis print(df.head())
This code will load the JSON file into the df
DataFrame, and the print(df.head())
line will print the first 5 rows of the DataFrame.
Note that the JSON file must be properly formatted and structured for the read_json()
method to work correctly. Also, make sure that the file path is correct in the function call.
