What is a simple way to switch the default application for certain types of files?

In Windows:

  1. Right-click on the file that you want to change the default application for.
  2. Select "Open With" and then "Choose another app".
  3. Select the application that you want to set as the default option.
  4. Check the box that says "Always use this app to open (file type)".
  5. Click "OK" to save the changes.

In macOS:

  1. Right-click on the file that you want to change the default application for.
  2. Select "Get Info" from the menu.
  3. In the Info window, expand the "Open with" section.
  4. Select the application that you want to use as the default.
  5. Click the "Change All" button to apply the change to all files of this type.
  6. Click "Continue" to confirm the change.
