Custom system-defined metadata can be added to AWS S3 by following these steps:
- Log in to the AWS S3 console.
- Select the bucket where the object is located.
- Click on the object for which you want to add metadata.
- In the right-hand panel of the object details page, click on the “Properties” tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on “Edit metadata”.
- Choose the “System-defined metadata” option.
- Add your custom metadata key-value pairs in the provided “Key” and “Value” fields.
- Click on the “Save” button to save your changes.
Note: System-defined metadata keys are pre-defined by AWS and cannot be changed. However, custom metadata keys can be added to the object.
