To modify the name of an existing caption in MS Word, follow these steps:
Open your document in Word and locate the caption you want to modify.
Click on the caption to select it.
Navigate to the References tab at the top of the Word window.
In the Captions section of the References tab, click on the Insert Caption button. This will open the Caption dialog box.
In the Caption dialog box, modify the text in the Caption Label field to change the name of the caption.
Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
The name of the caption will now be updated in your document.
