To install BeeGFS on Ubuntu 22.04, you can follow these steps:
Add the BeeGFS repository to your system:
wget -O - https://www.beegfs.io/release/latest-stable/gpg/DEB-GPG-KEY-beegfs | sudo apt-key add - echo deb https://www.beegfs.io/release/latest-stable/dists/beegfs-deb11/main/binary / | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/beegfs.list sudo apt-get update
Install the BeeGFS client:
sudo apt-get install beegfs-client beegfs-helperd beegfs-utils Configure the client by editing /etc/beegfs/beegfs-client.conf. You will need to set the sysMgmtdHost parameter to the hostname or IP address of your BeeGFS management server.
Start the BeeGFS client services:
sudo systemctl enable beegfs-helperd.service sudo systemctl enable beegfs-client.service sudo systemctl start beegfs-helperd.service sudo systemctl start beegfs-client.service
Verify that the client is working by running beegfs-ctl --listnodes. You should see a list of the BeeGFS metadata and storage servers that the client is connected to.
Note that these instructions assume that you have already set up a BeeGFS management server and storage servers. If you have not done so, you will need to do that first before setting up the client. The BeeGFS documentation provides more information on how to do this.
