To delete a submodule from a Gitlab repository, follow these steps:
Open the repository in Gitlab.
Click on the "Settings" button in the navigation bar.
Click on the "Repository" tab.
Scroll down to the "Submodules" section.
Locate the submodule you want to delete and click on the trash icon next to it.
Confirm that you want to delete the submodule.
Click on the "Save changes" button to save the changes to the repository.
Push the changes to the remote repository by running the following command in your local repository:
git push origin <branch-name>
Note: Deleting a submodule from a repository does not delete the actual submodule. The submodule will still exist in its own Git repository. If you want to delete the submodule completely, you need to remove it from the Git repository it belongs to as well.
