The problem with including date or week attributes in your Microstrategy cube when calculating N-1 values is that it will not accurately represent the previous period's data. This is because dates or weeks have a changing set of days every year, so comparing the same number of days between periods may not give an accurate representation of the data. It is recommended to use N-1 day or N-1 month calculations for accurate comparisons.
