In Windows:

  1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder you want to find the directory path for.
  2. Click on the folder to select it.
  3. In the address bar at the top of the File Explorer window, the directory path will be displayed. It will start with the drive letter (e.g. C:) followed by the names of all the parent folders leading up to the selected folder.

In Mac:

  1. Open Finder and navigate to the folder you want to find the directory path for.
  2. Click on the folder to select it.
  3. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click on "File" and then "Get Info" (or press Command + I).
  4. In the Info window that appears, the directory path will be displayed at the top under "Where". It will start with a slash (/) followed by the names of all the parent folders leading up to the selected folder.
