One method to create a list of categorical variables that have a distribution of counts that is normal is to randomly generate values for each variable, ensuring that the probabilities of each category are equal. Then, using a simulation tool or statistical software, repeatedly sample from the generated values and calculate the counts of each category for each sample. If the distribution of these counts approaches a normal distribution with a large enough number of samples, the original list of categorical variables can be considered to have a normal distribution of counts.
