To use a mask in Photoshop to conceal parts of a stroke, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new layer in Photoshop and add a stroke to it.

  2. Create a layer mask by clicking on the "Layer Mask" icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

  3. Select the brush tool and choose black as the foreground color.

  4. With the layer mask selected, paint over the areas of the stroke that you want to conceal.

  5. The stroke will now be hidden in the areas where you painted with black on the layer mask. You can use the brush tool and switch to white as your foreground color to reveal those areas again.

  6. If you want to adjust the opacity of the stroke, you can do so by adjusting the layer opacity or by adding a fill layer above the stroke layer and adjusting the opacity of that layer.
