There are several steps to securely delete the Ubuntu EFI partition and transfer the Windows EFI partition into the unoccupied space created during a new installation of Windows. Below are the steps:

  1. Make a backup of any important data on your computer.

  2. Boot from the Windows installation media (DVD or USB) and start a new installation of Windows.

  3. During the installation process, select the option to custom install Windows.

  4. When you are asked to select a partition to install Windows on, choose the unoccupied partition that was created during the Ubuntu installation.

  5. Windows will automatically create a new EFI partition in the unoccupied space.

  6. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer and boot into Windows.

  7. Open the Disk Management utility in Windows.

  8. Locate the Ubuntu EFI partition and select it.

  9. Right-click on the partition and choose the option to delete it.

  10. Confirm that you want to delete the Ubuntu EFI partition.

  11. Windows will now handle the EFI boot process and you can safely remove the Ubuntu partition.
