Files can be synchronized using rsync by following these steps:

1. Open the Terminal on your computer.

2. Type the following command:

   rsync -avz source/ destination/

   Replace 'source/' with the path to the directory or file you want to sync, and 'destination/' with the path to the location where you want to sync the files.

   Options explained: -a : archive mode, preserves all metadata such as permissions, timestamps, owner, group, etc. -v : verbose mode, shows a detailed output of the sync process. -z : compresses data during transfer, reducing the amount of data that needs to be sent over the network.

3. Press Enter to start the sync process.

   Rsync will compare the files in the source directory with those in the destination directory and synchronize them accordingly. Only the differences between the two directories will be transferred, minimizing the data transferred and speeding up the process.

4. Wait for the sync process to complete.

   The time it takes to complete will depend on the size of the files being synced and the speed of the network.

5. Once the sync is complete, you can verify that the files have been synchronized by checking the contents of the destination directory.
