The message "trying to call an undefined function" in a Lua script means that the script is attempting to execute a function that has not been defined or declared anywhere in the code. This can happen if the function is misspelled, if it is located in the wrong module or library, or if it simply does not exist in the code. The Lua interpreter is unable to execute the function because it does not know what to do with it, so it throws an error message to alert the programmer to the issue.
