Start by selecting your data and inserting a pivot table.
Drag the unique ID column to the Rows area of the pivot table and drag the associated value column to the Values area.
In the Values area, click on the dropdown arrow next to the value and select "Value Field Settings."
In the dialog box that appears, select "Count" for the "Summarize value field by" option to get a count of unique IDs.
To get a sum of the associated values, select "Sum" for the "Summarize value field by" option.
You can also add additional fields to the Rows or Columns areas to break down the count or sum by other criteria if needed.
Once you have the desired count and sum, you can format the pivot table as needed and use it for analysis or reporting.
