To apply a data filter specifically to the table range and not the entire row, follow these steps:

  1. Select the table range (excluding the header).
  2. In the ribbon, go to the "Data" tab and click on "Filter" or use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + L".
  3. The filter drop-down arrows will now appear in the header of each selected column. You can use these arrows to filter the data specifically within the table range.
  4. To remove the filter, simply click on the filter drop-down arrow and select "Clear Filter From [column name]".
