The process for establishing a connection to a git repository and executing git commands within Sagemaker Studio can be broken down into the following steps:

  1. Open Sagemaker Studio and create a new notebook instance.
  2. In the terminal window of the notebook instance, navigate to the directory where you want to clone the git repository.
  3. Clone the git repository using the command "git clone <repository url="">". This will create a copy of the repository in your local directory.
  4. Authenticate with your Git repository by adding your credentials to the Git credential store using the "git config --global credential.helper store" command.
  5. Enter your Git login credentials when prompted.
  6. Once authenticated, you can use Git commands such as "git pull" and "git push" to update the repository from the Sagemaker Studio terminal.

Note: You can also use the Git menu in Sagemaker Studio's IDE to connect to a Git repository and authenticate with your Git credentials. Once connected, you can execute Git commands directly from the IDE using the terminal or the Git menu.
