No, it is not possible for any UDP multicast socket to continue receiving data when the wire is disconnected. UDP is a connectionless protocol, which means that there is no guarantee of delivery or receipt of data. When the socket loses its connection with the network, it will not be able to receive any data until the connection is restored.
