There could be several reasons why one of the subfolders is cloned as an empty folder:

  1. The subfolder may be intentionally left empty by the repository owner.
  2. The subfolder may have been deleted or moved from the remote repository before you cloned it.
  3. The subfolder may be excluded from the repository by the .gitignore file.
  4. There could be an issue with the clone process or the remote repository.
