To modify the color of the tabs located above the editor in Visual Studio 2022, follow these steps:

  1. Open Visual Studio 2022 and go to Tools > Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click on the 'Environment' node on the left-hand side.
  3. Click on 'Fonts and Colors'.
  4. In the 'Show settings for:' dropdown, select 'Tabs'.
  5. Select the tab item you want to modify the color for (e.g. 'Active Tab', 'Inactive Tab', 'Selected Tab', etc).
  6. Click on the 'Item foreground' color swatch and choose a new color.
  7. Click OK to apply the changes.

Note: If you want to modify the color of the entire tab area (including the background), you may need to use a Visual Studio theme extension or create a custom theme using the Visual Studio Color Theme Designer.
