If the health checks for an ALB managed with EKS alb ingress fail, AWS Global Accelerator would be unable to route traffic to the unhealthy ALB target group. AWS Global Accelerator uses health checks to monitor the health of endpoints (in this case, the target groups associated with the ALB), and if they fail, it won't direct traffic there. Instead, it will direct traffic to a healthy endpoint in another region or availability zone if available. If no healthy endpoint is available, AWS Global Accelerator will return an error to the user or application.
