Yes, it is possible to assign distinct colors to database connections in MySQL Workbench version 8.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open MySQL Workbench and go to the "Home" screen.

  2. Click on the "Manage Server Connections" button.

  3. Right-click on the connection you want to customize and select "Edit Connection."

  4. In the "Edit Connection" dialog box, click on the "System Profile" tab.

  5. Under "Appearance," click on the "Connection Color" drop-down menu.

  6. Select the color you want to assign to the connection and click "OK."

  7. Click "Test Connection" to ensure that the color has been assigned correctly.

  8. Repeat these steps for each connection you want to customize with a different color.
