Here are the steps you can follow to enable GitLens to show inline blame annotations once more:

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.
  2. Click on the gear icon on the left side of the screen to open the Settings menu.
  3. In the search bar at the top of the Settings menu, type "GitLens".
  4. Locate the option "GitLens: Blame Decorations" and ensure that it is set to "Enabled".
  5. If the option was already enabled and you are still not seeing inline blame annotations, try disabling and then re-enabling the option.
  6. Close and reopen Visual Studio Code to ensure that the changes take effect.

If you are still experiencing issues with GitLens, you can try uninstalling and then reinstalling the extension.
