To modify the password of a Windows user account that exists locally, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type "control userpasswords2" in the Run dialog box and press Enter.

  3. In the User Accounts window, select the user account for which you want to modify the password.

  4. Click the "Reset Password" button.

  5. Type the new password in the "New password" and "Confirm new password" fields.
