To restore the Git History view in Eclipse to its original default state after an unintended change, you can reset the perspective by following these steps:

  1. Click on the "Window" menu in Eclipse and select "Perspective" and then "Reset Perspective".

  2. In the Reset Perspective dialog box that appears, select the perspective you want to reset (in this case, Git History) and click on "OK".

  3. Eclipse will then ask you if you want to save the current perspective as a new one. Select "No".

  4. The Git History view will now be restored to its original default state.

Alternatively, you can try to customize the Git History view to match the default state by choosing the "Customize View" option in the view's menu and resetting any options that were changed.
