`ranef`

function on an `mblogit`

model in R is that the `mblogit`

function does not fit a single model, but instead fits a separate model for each level of the outcome variable. Therefore, there are no random effects to extract from the `mblogit`

model using the `ranef`

function, as each outcome level has its own set of coefficients. Instead, the `coef`

function can be used to extract the fixed effects coefficients for each model.
