You can disconnect a USB device by following these steps:
Safely eject the device through the operating system by clicking the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon (usually located in the taskbar) and selecting the device you want to remove.
Wait for any file transfers or write operations to complete before unplugging the device.
Once the computer notifies you that it is safe to remove the device, physically disconnect it from the computer by gently pulling it out of the USB port.
