To add a role assignment to a managed identity that is assigned to a system in Azure, follow these steps:

  1. In the Azure portal, navigate to the resource group where the system is located.

  2. Select the system and click on "Access control (IAM)".

  3. Click on "Add role assignment".

  4. Select the role you want to assign and the user or group you want to assign it to.

  5. In the "Assign access to" dropdown list, select "Managed identity".

  6. In the "Select" dropdown list, choose the managed identity associated with the system.

  7. Click on "Save" to add the role assignment to the managed identity.

The managed identity will now have the permissions associated with the assigned role.
