Here is an example of creating a list using components from every tier of a hierarchical list, with four tiers:

  1. Fruits a. Citrus Fruits i. Oranges ii. Lemons b. Tropical Fruits i. Pineapples ii. Mangoes
  2. Vegetables a. Leafy Greens i. Spinach ii. Kale b. Root Vegetables i. Carrots ii. Potatoes
  3. Dairy Products a. Cheese i. Cheddar ii. Gouda b. Milk i. Whole Milk ii. Skim Milk
  4. Grains a. Cereals i. Corn Flakes ii. Oatmeal b. Bread i. Whole Wheat Bread ii. White Bread

To create a list using components from every tier of this hierarchical list, you could combine items from each level:

  • Pineapples
  • Spinach
  • Carrots
  • Gouda cheese
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Corn flakes
