To connect to a server that is not localhost when using the Splunk Python SDK, you need to specify the host and port in the Service object. Here is an example code snippet:

import splunklib.client as client

HOST = "<hostname>"
PORT = <port>
USERNAME = "<username>"
PASSWORD = "<password>"

service = client.connect(
    host=HOST,
    port=PORT,
    username=USERNAME,
    password=PASSWORD
)

Replace the <hostname>, <port>, <username>, and <password> placeholders with the actual values for your Splunk server. This will establish a connection to the Splunk server specified by the host and port.
