The storage capacity of an AWS backup vault can be checked by following these steps:

1. Open the AWS Backup console and select the backup vault you want to check.
2. In the details pane, go to the "Vault details" section.
3. Check the "Size" field to see the current storage capacity of the backup vault.
4. You can also view the "Quota" field to see the maximum storage capacity for the backup vault.
5. If you need more storage capacity, you can increase the quota limit by selecting the "Edit" button next to "Quota" and entering a new value.

Note: The storage capacity includes all backups and recovery points stored in the backup vault.
